The lifestyle profile segment on the legendary gospel artist will run on Monday, September 13, 2004 8:00 a.m. EST on NBC stations nationwide.In the four hour filming session at Winans' Bloomfield Hills, MI home with her new husband; the show producer discussed how fabulous Winans looks at 50 years old versus when she was 30 years old. They discussed Winans' dramatic weight loss two years ago, her son Mario's hot pop music career, her son Marvin Winans, Jr. new solo career and her recent marriage to businessman, Joe McLemore.
They also discussed Winans' ups and downs over her twenty year gospel career - a bout with depression, divorce, sickness and a miscarriage. However, most of the interview was devoted to how 2004 has been the most successful of Winans' career with the first #1 CD and the launch of her new record label, Destiny Joy Records. Her first artist signing is teen sensation, Aaron Fuller who debuted on her latest CD "Bringing it All together."
